Mike collaborates with his wife, Kim at Open Channel Works to publish and present e-books, articles, and lectures related to water resources, infrastructure management, and global travel and service. The pair also produce written, image, and video content for texts, labs, and presentations.
Kim has a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Olivet Nazarene University and is a licensed nurse (RN). She plans, leads, and provides information about service oriented, educational and recreational travel. Kim also provides healthcare related research and analysis services.
Mike is a licensed professional engineer with a doctoral degree from the University of Illinois. He studies natural waterways and urban storm water systems and the efficient development and management of infrastructure. Mike provides expert opinion, investigation, and testimony services related to hydrology and hydraulic-drainage system design and operations.
